Lifesaving Information A Lot Of People Aren't Told



I got this in an e-mail and I never knew this before.
I wonder just how many people do know about this.

~ A 36 year old female had an accident several weeks ago and totaled her car. A resident of Kilgore, Texas she was traveling between Gladewater & Kilgore. It was raining, though not excessively, when her car suddenly began to hydro-plane and literally flew through the air. She was not seriously injured but very stunned at the sudden occurrence!

When she explained to the highway patrolman what had happened he told her something that every driver should know - NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN WITH YOUR CRUISE CONTROL ON. She thought she was being cautious by setting the cruise control and maintaining a safe consistent speed in the rain.

But the highway patrolman told her that if the cruise control is on when your car begins to hydro-plane and your tires lose contact with the pavement, your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed making you take off like an airplane. She told the patrolman that was exactly what had occurred.

The patrolman said this warning should be listed, on the driver's seat sun-visor - NEVER USE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR ICY, along with the airbag warning. We tell our teenagers to set the cruise control and drive a safe speed - but we don't tell them to use the cruise control only when the pavement is dry.

The only person the accident victim found, who knew this (besides the patrolman), was a man who had had a similar accident, totaled his car and sustained severe injuries.

NOTE: Some vehicles (like the Toyota Sienna Limited XLE) will not allow you to set the cruise control when the windshield wipers are on.
This is important information. Like I said, I didn't know about this.....do you?

It's that time of the year again
The holidays are almost here and Another Christmas is almost
upon us and soon it will be 2008! It is time of the year that lonely people take their lives the most! Now my friends don't worry I will not do any thing like that! I fought too hard to come back to see my brand new great-grand daughter born on the 23th of September. Sometimes I think why oh Lord did you let me stay here? Why couldn't you just release me from the worry of living from day to day. As you can see the answer is My children I guess. It gives me meaning it gives me life!
I really miss my wonderful wife this time of year as we were married on the 16 of December '66 So I become lonely thinking about her this time of the year. I don't think any of my children will be able to visit this year because of the high cost of gas and their own troubles trying to take care of their families needs.
GIVING THANKS:
I thank God for this computer and the brain power to put down my thoughts here on this blog.
I thank God for the freedom to speak out
when I see something wrong I think should be fixed without fear.

I thank God for my children and their children and the love they have for me and sometimes how they will express their love for me.

I see wrong and pray that in the Near future
that our leaders will correct it.

I see a war without ending and no efforts to come to a peace table.

I see billions wasted in a a country that hates us and wants to kill Americans and a President so Blinded that he can not see the error of his ways.
I see young Americans going without food right here in Kentucky
because we are wasting money for this war!
I see seniors that have to choose what to do, go to a Doctor,
buy what little food they can after rent is paid?
or go without because the WAR is more important than Americans

We spend over 2 years in a hot desert with people firing guns at you!
I am seeing so called DEBATES AND NOT UNDERSTANDING ONE WORD!
I AM GOING TO CLOSE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO GO OFF HERE SO FROME ALL OF MY FAMILY TO ALL OF YOURS

WELL ANOTHER ELECTION IS COMING UPON US
VERY QUICKLY. WE ARE VOTING FOR GOVERNORS AND STATE REPS AND HOUSE REPS.FOR LOCAL AND IN STATE. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE RUN.... SAY "YOU'RE FIRED" BY VOTING!
IT AMAZES ME ON HOW THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF KENTUCKY
WHO WHEN CHARGED WITH WRONG DOING SIMPLY 'PARDON' EVERYBODY CONCERN EVEN THOUGH A "GRAND JURY" FOUND THEM GUILTY!
NOW HE WANTS 4 MORE YEARS? HE AND HIS "GOOD O BOYS" HAVE RAISED TAXES ON EVERYONE HERE IN KENTUCKY HE HAS DOUBLE THE PRICE OF A DRIVERS LICENCE,HE HAS ADDED A TAX TO OLD FOLKS WHEN THEY VISIT THEIR DOCTORS AND NEED MEDICINE, HE HAS APPROVED THE TAX ON CARS AND TRUCK TO MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT THEY WERE.....
AND SO I SAY MR FLECTER...YOU'RE FIRED!!!!
PS I HAVE VOTED BY MAIL! SO I AM PUTTING MY MONEY WHERE MY MOUTH IS!
I DO HOPE YOU GET OUT AND VOTE TOO BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T THEN THE WRONG PERSON MIGHT GET IN AND IT MIGHT BE YOUR VOTE THAT WON IT FOR HIM/HER

"Where are we as Americans Headed?"
It makes me sad as well as mad to see that the U. S. GOV'T HAS PUT TWO OF IT'S
"BORDER PATROL MEN IN PRISON"!
WHEN another country can say we want that man put in prison for doing his job then something is surly wrong here!
Now is the time to demand that congress get off it's Ass and do something about this!
We as voters must write and demand that justice be done for these two fine young men, that were only trying to stop Drug Dealers from entering our borders.
We Must support the efforts of these men or we will find them turning there heads for fear of going to prison!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
We need to send a strong message to our leaders including BUSH AND HIS CRONIES

WE must take a stand now for AMERICA before it is too late!
YOUR VOTE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO!

been making trips that were to be in the cheap seats and
"UPGRADING" AND CHARGING IT TO THE GOOD OLD AMERICAN TAXPAYER!
AT COST OF MILLIONS!
I THINK THESE BOZO'S SHOULD PAY BACK THE TAXERS
WITH INTREST AND THEN BE MADE TO LOSE THEIR JOB!
I ALSO WOULD IMPOSE SOME JAIL TIME BECAUSE IF THIS WAS
DONE ON THE OUTSIDE, THE IRS WOULD BE ALL OVER THEIR ASS!
I KNOW THAT THEY TAKE JETS TO RUN FOR OFFICE OR GO AND SUPPORT
THEIR "PARTIES"
SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE.
MILLIONS OF DOLLARS ARE SPEND EVERY YEAR ON ELECTIONS
I FEEL IT IS STUPID AND A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
BET THEY WOULD NOT TAKE SO MANY TRIPS IF IT CAME FROM THEM!
IN THE MEAN WHILE WE HAVE CHILDREN AND SENIORS GOING TO BED WITH OUT FOOD OR MED OR THE PROPER HOUSING OR EDUCATION
THESE WASTED FUNDS CAN SURELY BE SPEND MORE WISELY THAN THEY ARE NOW
